DoorRaise
Security
How we protect accounts, investor information and investor money.
Money in escrowNever with DoorRaise or the sponsor
HTTPS everywhereAll traffic is encrypted
Private recordsYou can only read your own
Your money never sits with us
Investor funds go to an escrow account held by an escrow agent, not to DoorRaise or the sponsor.
At closing they are released only to the title company. If the raise misses its minimum or the deal doesn’t close, they are returned.
Where investor money goes

You wire or ACH your investment.

You own a share of the company that owns it.
Accounts and sign-in
- Sign-in is handled by a dedicated authentication service using a one-time email link (and Google sign-in where offered). DoorRaise never sees or stores a password.
- You can add a passkey or an authenticator app for extra protection. Two-step sign-in is required for DoorRaise staff.
- Our servers check who you are on every request for private data, and each person can only read their own records.
How your data is handled
- All traffic to doorraise.com is encrypted with HTTPS.
- Account and deal records live in a managed database that can only be reached by our servers, never directly from a browser.
- We use well-known providers for hosting, database and email, and collect only what we need to run a raise.
Sensitive documents
- We never ask for tax returns or bank statements by email. Documents you upload to verify you’re accredited go to private storage, open only to DoorRaise staff through short-lived links.
- Wire instructions come only from the escrow agent. We will never ask you to send money to a personal account.
Reporting a problem
- If you find a security issue, email support@doorraise.com. Please give us time to fix it before sharing it publicly.
- If an email asks you to wire money and you’re unsure it’s from us, don’t send it. Contact us first.
